    Nice job, I made one 40 years ago just like that. I prefer the on with the push button though.

    It does have a few drawbacks. Unlike yours it can't be removed easily if you need to use the full stroke of the quill. But it has the fine adjustment and I like that.

    Nice job but it seems like a lot of work for something you can buy from msc for $13.85 each.
