Does anyone have any experience with a GMC machine tool company 1640 HD Large spindle bore lathe.
It's a china import. And of course the importer raves about how great is is.
The cost is fair for a China special. All our current shop lathes are American or Japanese, and I know you get what you pay for, that said one of our employees wants a lathe for there home shop and does not want to enter the poor house buying one and asked me what I thought. I told him I have no idea but would ask the forum.
