I'm new to this forum, so i don't know if this kind of post is ok, or even of interest.

But i'm not that great at sharpening drill bits free hand, so i bought on of those drill grinding guides. It has many names like General 825 drill grinding attachment, Craftsman drill sharpener, or just generically called drill grinding guide on Amazon and eBay. I'm not affiliated with any of the companies, i'm just happy i can finally sharpen even 3mm bits and center drills in 1 minute with good results.

I struggled a bit getting consistent results, and the manual is not very good, so came up with a couple of improvements:

The jig i secured in the base with a washer, lock washer and a wingnut, and tightened so the spring washer is only halfway compressed, so the jig can be advanced with the threaded rod. Way easier, and i now don't have to mess with the screw on the jig itself, when i have set the drill in place, only when i have to turn it, to do the other flute.

Don't want go into too much detail, before i know if this is of any interest.
