Have some small parts to make that in OP1 get M4 x .7 STI threads.

For OP2 it would be easiest if I could use bolts and thread into the M4 x .7 STI threads, to hold them down.

Job doesn't have me installing the helicoils.

Im assuming there is no such thing as a bolt that will thread into those holes, just wondering if anyone has any ideas or has done anything in the past.

You could try bonding some M4 inserts onto M4 screws, after cleaning everything and using a high-strength epoxy on the screw threads (but not too much), then putting the assembled insert/screw into a collet or sized hole to collapse the insert onto the screw as much as possible.

Make sure the process is good and reliable, if an insert separates and remains in the part it could be a pain.

Or just make your own slotted cap screws from 4140PH bar.
