Our shop recently purchased a SH100 Maag gear cutter . I need help getting setup on the first job . Trying to produce a 15 tooth , 1 DP , 20 degree gear . Need to how to do the math for setting the pitch and index gearing ? Help !
I have the formula for an SH350: 1ST step calculate MS= module/cosine helix angle. The change gears (A x C)/(B x D)= MS / 12. So for a spur gear where the helix angle is zero, MS = module. So your pitch change fear formula becomes module/12. Not sure if the machine constant is the same for a smaller machine.
yes you need the exact constant of the lead screw of your machine. is there any thing on the door for the change gears or
on the machine, did you get a manual?
if not go to meshing with gears and post a request, see if some one there can help you.
