I have used Practical Machinist as a resource for years. this is the first time for me to post a question
I am looking at a 1996 Haas hl1. The info tag show it to be 208-230 volts, but the transformer inside only shows high voltage input connectors 426v and up. I looked at the manual and the transformer in the manual it shows high voltage and low voltage on the illustration of the wiring diagram. For example the machine I am looking at has 426-451v 401-425v and the one in the manual shows 468-448v (447-429v/260-244v) (428-403v/243-227v)
so basically the machine I am looking at the transformer shows only High voltage and the manual show High and low. without having to purchase a step up transformer, is there any other possibilities. again the HAAS tag states 208-230

Can you get any pic of the transformer connections and the rating plate?

Is this the unit power transformer, or an addition?

If it has one set of windings, and it is the unit power transformer with just three connection points for each voltage, then your options are limited without getting a different transformer from Haas.

However, the 401 to 425 setting, if the transformer happens to be wired wye, and the connection panel allows wiring delta, would provide an optional wiring in delta of about 230 to 245 volts. I have no idea whether the thing is made that way or not, and would assume that if it were made that way, it would be labeled for it.

If it is some sort of addition, and NOT the unit power transformer, then perhaps it can be removed and the unit used at the marked rating

Here are some Pics, sorry about the glare no power in shop bringing in three phase.
