Gisholt 3L rectifier

Hey Guys,

We have a Gisholt 3L that will not let us start the machine in either forward or reverse.
It will let us jog in either direction.
we have checked our prints and have determined that it is possibly our rectifier or our Time Delay.
i have the number off the rectifier and its 8402 but i cannot find it online. its a 110V AC to DC V?

does anyone have any info on this or could help us with this?

Best bet is to find out how much current its rated for, usually you can just add up all the loads on the other side of it. The 8402 is a manufacturers number that isn't going to tell you much, however all the major manufacurers make equivalent units to each other so a swap is very possible. I'll bet the replacement is less than $3. Pics would help.

How many wire connect to the rectifier?
Four wires make it a full wave bridge rectifier
Two wires make it a single diode
Get a replacement rectifier with a higher voltage and current rating then the device needs.
You could check the old rectifier. An Ohmmeter should show conductivity in one direction.
No conductivity if you reverse the leads from the meter.
I would suggest checking the rectifier first
