Does/Has anyone on here used Helical's tool reconditioning service? I was just curious what the costs were, and if it was worth it. I have a good amount of Helical brand endmills and thought it may be worth sending them in when they need sharpening.

I haven't used Helical's program, but a third party shop quoted us $30 each for a 1/2x1 4 flute with a TiAlN coating. Personally, I don't think resharpening is worth the hassle in most cases, but it depends on your application.

I think trying their sharpening would worthy/very good...Likely suffer dd size OD but if that is no problem likely they do a very good job.

Used end mills should be wrapped in craft paper so ODs don't get damaged in handling.
