Help please, indexing head, indexing spacer, rotary indexer...

Hi all I am searching for one of these, it seems they have different names.
I dont understand how the plates work exactly.
The only index Ive used had a pin to set the number 2 ,4, 6, 8 etc and then you grabbed a lever and ratcheted it to the next stop when ready.
I dont know the brand unfortunately.
I was looking at used on Ebay etc.

Any help or buying recommendations are appreciated.

There are a number of different devices that allow you to divide a circle into a number of equal parts. Each is good for some uses and there will be a trade-off between that utility and the price. If you want a meaningful answer I would suggest that you tell us more about what you expect to do with it.
