Hello folks,
i've previously made several cnc lathe machines and some custom cnc machines.
This time I am gonna make small sized cnc router (12"x12" work area)
Precision and rigidity is very important, although for my application hard materials are not used often.
Ball screw and LM is the most important, so i didn't go cheap on those.
also frame rigidity is very important, so i didn't spare materials.
it's gonna be a long hard battle...
<specs>
Base plate aluminum 6061 36mm thickness + S45C steel reinforcements
side column aluminum 6061 30mm thickness + S45C steel reinforcements
Back plate aluminum 6061 30mm thickness + S45C steel reinforcements
Ballscrews Rexroth Double Nut Precision screws (pitch 5mm YZ / 10mm X)
X LM 35mm THK
Y Z LM 20mm highwin
controller gecko g540
spindle 2+KW fair quality chinese spindle.
all the supports units are precision THK ones.
gonna have to scrape the backplate(Y axis base)!
I am no professional, just a hobby machinist
So no proper theories, but have built 3 CNC machines (lathes, etc.) and numerous manual machines and parts.
