I need a carriage handle for a Rivett 1020S. The diameter is approximately 8" with an offset of between 3 3/4" and 4". The center hole is 19/32". If you know of any hand wheels off of other machinery with close to these dimensions, I would appreciate it if you would let me know.

thanks,

John

Rivett made at least two different versions of this handwheel.

In the early machines the handwheel can be pulled toward the operator to de-couple it from the carriage movement to prevent the handwheel from spinning and possibly striking the operator.

Later 1020S units dropped this feature and I don't think 1020F units had this either.

The bores of the two units are different; part of the decoupling mechanism is in the bore area of the units that de-couple.

I have an extra one of the de-coupling style handwheels that I could sell, but I don't expect to be able to uncover and access that part for several months as it is in deep storage (laugh).
