So I finally convinced my boss to get the correct inserts for Inconel 718. After reviewing all my times on previous Inconel Jobs he has finally realized that our normal WNMG 2025 grade wasnt sufficient at Cutting Inconel 718. So I convinced him to buy the proper insert grade and chip breaker for Inconel. And ill tell you what a difference. Having to cut a chunk from 8.25" to 5.080" I was able to cut my time by 2/3. And the Insert lasted the entire cut job. Wow. I highly recommend Ingersoll 80° Inconel inserts for their life and ability to make great chips.
