Information required Demoor 600 Lathe

I'd say that machine is a European import by the 600 group. Possibly a 1950's design, maybe Belgian. Have a look at the drive motor, coolant pump, work light etc. They should give you some clues as to it's origin.

Hi Tyrone ... That's a good pointer, yet to see it myself. I only know it came from a factory in Lowestoft and nearly tipped the JCB over that was used to move it from the lorry to the shed.

The owner still does not the functions of some of the levers (Shouldn't be rocket science though!)

Hopefully more snippets will trickle in.

Thanks JR but it's certainly not the first time a "Second time around ask" has produced fruit and I've had two already ;)

I ended up doing a fair bit of research to find out it was dogged when I got to see it.
Like most lathes of the era plain and frictionless bearing headstocks were available and good metric range of threads
