    The 6.2 came out in '82.
    Was at least 2 more years before Ford actually had theirs in the sales lots.
    My G-Pa ordered a 6.9 when it was first released, and the truck came in MANY months later than expected.

    It wasn't his old 460, but it could pass a fuel stop...

    that ford 6.9 was an international [ihc] made motor they were ok but they had there problems to not a big mopar fan but they know what to do they went to Cummings and put a real diesel motor in there trucks not the jazz of the v-8's but if you did your part it would not let you down the public has been and always will be the guinea pig for marketing an the 7 deadly sins drive it greed , envy , jealousy you know like what the car salesman try to do . that shit don't work with me
