Hi,

I want to insert few metal sleeves to specific locations inside a profile of alumium rim- photo for demonstration is attached .
The rim is after rolling and before seam connection.
If someone has experience with such a process or can direct me to literature / videos it will be awesome.

Thanks!

How will they be attached to the rim? Can they be added before rolling? Is the aluminum roll-formed into the hollow shape or extruded? How far apart is each one and how many? What are the general dimensions?

They will be attached to the rim with a screw from the bottom of the profile (the sleeves will be with threaded holes).
They should be placed 120 deg from each other (rim diameter is abour 570mm), the quantity is 3 pcs.
Cant be placed before rolling.
General dimensions: 19-20mm width, ~10 mm height, ~15 mm length.
Thought about inserting it before the connection of the seam and locate the sleeves with a magnet. what do you think?

If the rim has the through hole and the sleeve has a threaded hole, it shouldn't be that difficult. Magnets would probably be the best way to do it.

Make a jig with magnets to hold the sleeve in place and rotate the rim around until the holes line up.
