I have a JFC in good working order but the hand wheel is sloppy and it appears I need to shim or replace a large washer that sits under the two locking springs. Has anyone tackled this, should I shim it? The washer is large and I doubt it is possible to find a thicker one. Is it fine to leave it as it is, when under power you see the wobble in the hand wheel and at the least it looks like it should be fixed up. Any suggestions? I have taken it apart, cleaned it and lubed at the requisite parts including the 33 ball race, it looked great inside but in need of lubrication.
