Have one of these up for sale locally and been wanting to pick up a HBS. Guy is asking $600, but I might be able to get it down since he is moving soon and can't take it with him. Just wondering if these are good machines. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Are you not happy with the current price of $600 ?
It seems like a decent price, but then that's why I am deferring to the experts. It is not setup for coolant though. I'm hoping it can be retrofitted. Are they decent saws?

They are heavy. Simple to set up and use. Parts are available. That model stayed close to the same for years. That says something.
You could buy a tank and coolant pump and design a pan for it but I never seen one with coolant. It's not high speed. The blades last a long time cutting dry as long your careful not to cut through welds or mystery metal.
Ask the seller why he didnt use coolant.
Accuracy is usually in doing a good job setting up you guides.tracking and blade tension as long as the wheels have good bearings and good rubber tires.
I know a machinist that hates them. I didnt ask why.
600.00 is ok IMO. It looks pretty good.
I'm not going to consider myself an expert. I have used them.

I have a 9AW, a little bigger, else pretty much the same. HGR, about $800, so yours is a good deal. Mine was 3ph motor, now on a VFD, and came with coolant system.
