Pretty sure that is not going to be possible.
This stupid "Olympic barbell" job sure is getting expensive....
Try for buzzwords like "billet" "military grade" and the like.
so i have to knurl before the heat treatment, its 7ft shaft and i want to increase it's uts. Can gas nitridiing improve thhe hardness without compromising the straightness of the ba?
