Does anyone have a Laser marking solution with SOFTWARE that allows you to identify sequence numbers in a text string that the system is to auto-increment?

For instance: The engraving is to be "DSL12445, 02/20, 1"

The "1" is the sequence number, and each part in the engraving run would increment by one. (1, 2, 3, 4, etc.)

Our current Versalaser is many years old and uses Corel Draw as the image source. We currently type out rows and columns of text and numbers as needed for each run, load parts (multiple) in aluminum plates, and engrave each batch with the necessary identification + sequence numbers for inspection reporting.

What comes into play are runs that are, for instance, 150 to 500 parts with a total capacity each run of 42 parts. So, to engrave the full 500 parts means about 12 iterations of loading 42 parts at a time with MANUAL adjustment of sequence numbers in the Corel file each time.

Anyone have anything that allows one to more gracefully handle management of sequence numbers in multi-part runs?
