Christmas Day, 1976, I left Westminster Abby's Christmas morning service and looked for lunch. Seemed the restaurants were shut, so I figured a hotel would probably serve food every day. I walked in the Savoy and sat in the dining room and had a fantastic Norfolk turkey dinner that would have been just as correct for Thanksgiving. I never went hungry in London.
