Lifting a Taylor Hobson K pantograph

Hello,

I'll soon be collecting a Taylor Hobson K pantograph. It will need to be lifted onto a trailer.

Am I correct in thinking the best place to lift from (with a strap) is just at the top of the column, at the top of the 45 degree bit, behind the downwards pointing fastener which sort of has it's own boss?

I'm also guessing the copy table can also be removed if the balance point needs to be brought forward a little.

Is there anything else I should or shouldn't do when moving or transporting, or anything fastened which should be removed before lifting or moving?

Thank you

Yes sounds fine. I think Ks are quite large compared to the earlier models. Only thing I would add is watch your fingers in the pantograph. Especially when moving if you don't have the pantograph tied down it would be easy to lose a finger or two.

Thank you,

I was thinking about tying up the pantograph to keep the balance stable but hadn't thought about my fingers. The model D looks good for size and capability but a K was available.
