    yes however when I ordered my machine I went with the model that only has Z dro. I feel like I would rather go with something like mitutoyo anyway though.

    A good DRO is more than a position readout. It will provide functions like finding the center of a part, bolt circles, absolute/incremental measuring, linear arrays, tool offsets and lots of other stuff.

    Without those functions, it's almost as easy to count turns on the dial.
