Default Looking for high quality belt grinder

I am looking for high quality grinder and considering purchasing the Maximizer made by Hard Core Products. Wondering if anyone has experience with this grinder and or recomendations for other brand unit.

The Maximizer's youtube makes it look cheezy and lightweight. Haven't used one.

Have lots of time on Burr Kings and like them. Even better, if you don't mind making your own, is Jeremy Schmidt's design for a 2x72" tilting grinder. Lots of beef where needed so you can actually hog and plenty versatile for oddball jobs. Have used a friend's and making my own is on the short to do list. Jeremy put up several youtubes if interested.

What do you want to do with the grinder? Deburr, shaping tubing for welding, knife making ?

I have used a 2 X 72 inch Burr King knifemaker for many years. I started with the single speed unit and later upgraded to the variable speed drive. The unit is in constant use and has been very satisfactory.

Will be used for multiple uses. No knife making however. The biggest use is final shaping of parts cut on band saw and deburring. Small amount of tubing work.

Hard to beat a 2" x 72" Square wheel sander for your requirements. That is how I use mine and I can't imagine being without it.

Don’t skimp, pay the extra and get one with a VFD to control the speed.
