I just saw the thread that mentioned Gordon has been banned from PM. I have had disagreement with him that almost became arguments and have just walked away. Agree he is highly opinionated and stubborn. Still, I think he is a smart guy, adds something the site, and deserves his opinion to certain limits, and if he goes too far we should be big enough to walk away from the argument or the thread.

But yes, I did not see the thread or comment that got him busted.

There is opinionated and there is going out of your way to be a jackass.

One thing to remember is that Don built and runs this web site as a business. The thing that will drive people away is to come here, read through some of the threads and decide (rightly or not) that this is just a place for children to scream at each other in the sandbox. For those who were around in the pre-PM days there was an unmoderated USENET metalworking group that died out because of the actions of a few.

Gordon didn't get banned, he earned being banned.

Why seek out Gordo for a machine tool purchase ?

Or are you just trying to sneak around the title ?

FWIW I think banning does not negate any PM capabilities, so you
can still contact it.
