Gentlemen, I am in the market for a engine lathe to replace my Romi C420 CNC. I need a 2 3/8" spindle hole, taper attachment and DRO. There have been many older discussions on this. No Chinese junk but I can't justify a 60k German or Hwacheon. Considering other Asian brands you don't seem to know with them and I don't want to roll the dice. Used is an option but I don't have time to waste chasing machines to find they are clapped out junk. I am open to suggestions. Machine will be for farm, ranch and heavy equipment repair and prototyping to compliment my Bridgeport Series I. Your assistance is appreciated.

Romi are still making manual lathes which may or may not meet your needs; Brazil-made stuff is usually a lot cheaper than German or Korean.

I'd check with Webb Machinery. They sell Cadillac lathes, a very nice machine.
