New to the site, and looking forward to being part of the community.

I've been using my Grizzly G0769 combo lathe/mill (8x16) for a couple years now, with most of my chip-making happening in the last few months. All this work has been exclusively on the lathe, as I'm not sure how to best use the slots that exist for milling. I was hoping for some guidance in setting up this part of my machine. Basically, I've been told that I need a small mounting table/plate.

Here's a picture of what I'm working with:

I've chatted with a few equipment suppliers and it seems that this is something that I need to fabricate myself. I could see myself buying a small metal plate, drilling some countersunk holes in it to mount to the saddle, throw a few more holes in there to mount some work... Question: Does a small flattened/hardened table (at most 8x12 for my space) exist with mounting holes? I am certain that what I build would be a hack job at best, at least until I figure out what I actually need. Where should I be looking for something like this? Thoughts/suggestions?

Thanks for your time!
