As the title says, is Dow-Corning Molykote 55 O-Ring grease suitable for assembling car brake components. For example Master Cyliders and calipers?

I couldn't find anything about this in the manufacturer's information.

Thanks for any replies.

Just buy a tub of red rubber grease, brake fluid just starts the corrosion. Red rubber grease is like £5 for a tub over here and is fine with rubber seals, anything else is a gamble.

Thanks for the replies.

The reason I don't want to use brake fluid is that I am planning to rebuild these parts as spares. As they may sit stored for a few years, I don't want the brake fluid to cause corrosion.
