Does anyone know if the shanks on the small Moore boring heads are removable? I want to pick up one to use on my jig bore, which would require removing the Moore shank and replacing it with an adapter to thread onto my spindle nose.

Thanks,

John

No! they are not removable.
Yes! You can buzz cut the shank off, machine and thread the top for a standard Criterion shank of your choice.
Why not? There is certainly more of those nice boring heads, then running Moore jigbores to use them in.

The Moore head in the middle, note a 1/10000" model.
The head being abit thin at the top, perhaps the hex portion may have to be left for enough meat for a removable shank.
