G'day,

I registered a week or more ago with the username "Richard-B". When I log in, if I click on "RICHARD-B" right at the top header, just after the "Welcome,", it takes me to a page where there is details of a "Richard B", with a join date of 2006. When I go to the members list, I can find "Richard B" but no listing for "Richard-B". If I click on "SETTINGS" it takes me to "Richard-B" and all the details are correct?

Is there an issue? Do I need to change my username?

I tried to PM moderator but your inbox is full.

Cheers,

Ric

Your AKA is exactly what you gave when joining. ABC, ABc, Abc etc. are all different AKAs.

You can't join using an AKA already taken.

Try doing the maths on the number of permutation just 3 letters give

aBc, aBC, abC etc., etc. I'm sure you get the picture.

Gordon is saying “Richard B” and “Richard-B” are two completely different users

Edit- I see you typed it a couple different ways, the caps vs lowers matters

It's because you put a hyphen in your username. I have the same problem from my full stop. The board software does not like non-standard characters so it sends you to someone else's profile.

It's certainly fixable, but would require some input from the forum's admin.

Cheers Pete. Looking at the other "Richard B" in the members list and his profile, I don't think he frequents the board anymore, so it probably isn't a big deal anyway.
