Need 36tonnes Ratchet Strap

Hey all,

I've been looking around for industrial ratchet straps that have a stronger carrying capacity than 10.000 kilo or 10 tonnes which is the most that I seem to find online. Do you know of any place I can look for stronger ones?

In that capacity you're probably looking at big chains and boomers.

What's the application? Remember, even if you found a strap with this capacity, you need something to attach it to that can also handle that load.

Also, I think you may be confusing working load limit with breaking strength. The standard 100mmm wide strap sold in the US has a working load limit of 2500kg. I've never seen 10,000kg.

Sounds like you want something close to the strapping used on an BAK-12 runway arresting gear....

Do you have to have all that capacity in one strap, or can you use multiples?

Yup, the barge people use large turnbuckle binders.

10 tons per lashing? That’s beyond the capacity of the 1”turnbuckles/ 3/4” shackles and 1/2” chain on any barge but a heavy lift carrier or carrying a 4100W or bigger crane. Poly straps will help cut the weight but gear in that capacity gets real heavy real fast. Might need two+ guys for every one you could use for lighter gear
