Gents,
I need to find a specific fastener, it's a flat eyebolt, similar to the ones used in aircraft, except completely flat. They look like a threaded rod with one end smashed flat and then drilled through. I've found them on websites from China, but nothing I can order. Any ideas? Here's two examples. Maybe they're called by a different name, I don't know. I need it in an 8-32 thread if possible but maybe could do a 10-32. Okay thanks,

Hi Justin,

The good news: I found similar things at McMaster-Carr. They're called Flattened-End Hanger Bolts/Screws. See listing halfway down catalog page 3149:

McMaster-Carr

The bad news: The smallest size they have is bigger than what you need.

Knowing what they're called, though, should help you search for sources. You might also call MMC and see if they can get other sizes.

Hope this helps,

-Chris

Gents, thanks for the leads! These are for a production item so I'll need quite a few, hopefully.

Alex, are you a fasteners dealer? Do you have a website?

Thanks again guys,
Justin
