Nice piece of 7075. What should I make with it?

Have a fairly basic setup with lathe and mill. Came across a piece of 10” diameter, 4” thick piece of 7075. Considering a big spider for barrels. What would be a nice thing to make with it??? Thanks

I think Bob has the best idea yet with the checker board might be nice to have around and waste time for the day you get a CNC in there

Just start drilling holes in it.

It will begin to look like something pretty quick.

A hat.
Butt plug.
Wedding ring.
A fidget spinner.
A coin.
A 1 year sobriety chip.
A dinner plate.
Loupe
Antenna
Chimney
Broom handle
Sword

Ohhh a butt plug on a broom handle

One unique quality of the "HHS" types is they think everyone knows their own references. WTF is "a big spider for barrels"?

If it was mine, I would find a nice place to keep it for the day I needed 7075. Have you priced that stuff lately? If you need something to do, do it on something a bit less precious.

BTW, 7075 makes nice gears. You could make 127T transposing gears all the way up to 14 DP with that size, if you have to.

Best Regards,
Bob
