    Just saw this surfing, anyone hear of a Babin Lathe ?
    Actually made in USA or offshore ?

    If it is a Feeler FTL618EM or Cyclomatic CTL618EM its a decent lathe

    The Babin name carries a lot of weight. The composition of that weight is the issue.

    I don't see anything in their line that they made from the ground up. Hardinge, Bridgeport, Acer, Trump. Just another dealer.

    Thats the good Babin... John Welden's company purchased a totally kitted out fully rebuilt genuine HLV from them, looked mighty purdy.

    Seconded, they're the good Babin, and their machines are solid.

    they are made to Babins Specs and then they "tune" them up when he gets them. They are made my Cyclematic. Overall good machines once Babin does his thing to them.

    I have seen the Babin machines at the east tech machinery show in Springfield and been very impressed .
