G. Dufour of France made horizontal and vertical milling machines until the 1970's then they closed. Did they make anything else besides mills?
My Google fu is bad because Dufour is a common name in France and Switzerland.

Set your browser to:Google

Search on "fraiseuse g dufour"

Find lots of info that English-centric Google does not. But one example:

rocbo : La Productique et sa Culture : Les fraiseuses Gaston Dufour

Ability to READ it.. is a separate exercise!
;)

Even so, Google gets commercial & technical content done rather well.

From the look of it, Gaston & team never had great enough commercial success, profitability, spare time, or investment money to branch out into lathes or drill presses, etc. They had to work hard to earn a crust at mills alone, but did OK at that "for a while" - note the staff "headcount" changes over time.

The "Milling Tools" pdf shows the accessories they made for millers.

I have a 624B that seems to be in good mechanical condition. Anyone know where I can find a wiring schematic?

That's a dick response. Let me trace down all of the 487 red wires in the cabinet.

"487". You sure?

Welll.. If yah got 'em counted, the rest is easier.

Once had the pleasure of tracing and making mods to what was alleged to be the world's first-ever "portable" computerized EKG. If a 42U rack can be considered "Portable". Fast RAM was implemented in that era with 8 bit by 8 bit IC's, On Augat wire-wrap backplanes. Several.

Image is a SPARSELY wired example. Ours was far denser.

No schematic. Yah have a "chart". Two columns.

Starting point, by panel, pin X & Y for each wire. Ending panel, pin X & Y of said wire.

30 thousand wires, was it? And every one of them white.

I've seen paramedics with an EKG as can be held like an iPad, I kinda hafta grin.

;)

Now... just how many motors does an ancient DuFour mill have again?
