old jacobs chuck key JT 16N 3 1/8-5/8 inch

I am looking for a chuck key for my older Jacobs chuck JT 16N 3 1/8-5/8 inch
What I bought won't fit and my understanding is the new keys are make in China and will not work on the older chucks.
Is the a source for chuck keys for the older Jacobs chucks?

The 16N uses a K-4 chuck key. Is that what you ordered?

I think the rare spiral geared chucks have an S on the model, like 16S. The 16N chucks made in the USA are fairly common on eBay and old used K4 keys are probably not rare.

When you rebuild a Jacobs chuck, the first thing you do is to press off the outer sleeve. At the end, of course, you press it back on. If you make a mistake and don't press it on quite far enough, the key won't fit right.

If you have a K4 key then look to see if it fits the hole solidly. If so, does it look like the gear teeth would mesh? If so, press the sleeve on or off just a bit until the key fits right.

Fixed the sleeve had moved down. I pressed it back up and all is good. My #4 key works. Thanks everyone
