Options for restoring mill vise?

So I just bought a used machine vise that was has very minor surface corrosion on the jaws and bed, what are my options to get it the rust removed?

The only proper way I can think of is to surface grind it.

How about trying a little Scotch Brite first?

I just purchased a used vise. Cleaned it up with steel wool and spritz's of carb cleaner. Can out real nice

For minor corrosion my go to method is scotchbrite and wd-40. One of the only things wd-40 is good for in my opinion.

As long as you clean off all the wd40 residue before it causes more rust
