Default OT: Clear wire shut down..alternate

Off topic; A co worker lives in the country and had clear wire for internet. Clea rwire just went out of business leaving all their customers high and dry. She thinks her only option is Hughes net. Any suggestions? I am surprised some company did not take over the customer list. I believe it may have something to do with outdated equipment at both ends.

We dropped our land-line because of poor service and internet speeds and went cellular.

If she has cellular coverage it's likely one of them offers wire-less internet in her area.

    In central valley?

Clear wire on a good day was bad at best.

Sprint recently rebuilt network as "network vision" that included LTE on the same spectrum as the clear wire stuf.

Sprint controlled clear wire so the account should be able to be moved over.

But other options may be better like unwired and other carriers.
