If the US didn't promote concealing who actually owned a website, we could see who owns this company. But so far, looks like Illinois.

I believe that's in the US.

I believe they might feel since a lot of the places I saw hired young people who wore masks. Maybe it is felt that alone a person wearing a mask is safe for the wearer or a honest acceptable try. Not saying I believe that way myself. I wear a mask and do not want any part of having Covid. I even stopped the gym membership even though it is important to go health wise.

If I see someone without a mask I get distance.

You've cracked 200k dead of covid-19 now, guys. And moved up the league tables - passed 600 deaths per million milestone now too.

11th highest death rate on a per capita basis now. Only another 10 countries to pass and you'll be Number 1! MAGA!

Tell me - are you tired of winning yet, or is the next target the 2.2 million dead point?

Really, I despair of your collective intelligence.

There is MONEY in those numbers

State-by-state breakdown of federal aid per COVID-19 case

And we all know what happens when money comes to play.

Don't forget. the average covid death age is 82, typical mortality age is 79. Looks like the flu is good for an additional three years! Get it while you still can!

    Happy news!

The Constitution doesn't say you can go Alois Schicklgruber as long as you want.

    Yet

"...even in an emergency, the authority of government is not unfettered," Stickman wrote. "The Constitution cannot accept the concept of a 'new normal' where the basic liberties of the people can be subordinated to open-ended emergency mitigation measures."

Ehhhh, they're going to appeal, so nothing will happen until it can get un-bogged out of the legal system (i.e. all the way to the top, which can take years). See the ruling this summer against Gretchen keeping exercise facilities closed, she appealed it and kept fighting right up until Labor Day, even saying "I won't be bullied into allowing businesses to be open" and then suddenly decided that she thinks they can be open and then just dropped the whole thing out of her executive order.

Here, they were 'saving up' cases, to the tune of a dozen fold.
    Then they got caught.

Vid should start at the discussion

This is not on topic , but V.D. Hanson has always delivered on the useful insight aspect

Long, but well worth the "current events" exposure.

This is not on topic, either, but a recent Pew Research poll shows Trump badly beating most every foreign leader, including Merkel, Macron, Xi, and Putin.

We're winning! First time ever, I think, a US President has been seen as less trustworthy by our allies than actual communist dictators.

I feel so fortunate not to live in any of those other countries under any of those elected office holders.

    Pete,

The thumbnail is so small it's useless and the link you provided required a subscription so I could not access either one, so I'm not sure where you're headed on this, but I'll say this! If there is anyone, anywhere on the planet earth that thinks Trump is really honest and trustworthy they must be living under a rock in the desert.

Sorry about the link. Basically a survey of a dozen or so first world democracies -- asked which leaders they would trust to do the right thing in some crisis. Merkel most trustworty. Trump well below both Putin and Xi.

Here's a Pew Research link covering much the same ground: U.S. Image Plummets Internationally as Most Say Country Has Handled Coronavirus Badly | Pew Research Center

Remember, these are first world democracies - our allies -- and they don't much trust Putin or Xi either. Just a whole lot less when it comes to Trump.

Why would anyone trust a person with an entire history of lying, cheating and violating agreements?

Rule of thumb - if someone will do shit to others, they'll do it to you too. Trump has pissed away more trust and goodwill than your last 3 Presidents combined.

You're correct, it is our stupidity that politicians, all over the world, continue the be re-elected.

People believe 'Their guy' is pure, and the 'Other guy' is resident evil.
In reality they're the same person.

Hence, the point of the thread- most believe whatever is shoveled; a few question everything because they've seen it before- just in a different guise.
