I was going through packages of emery , crocus and the typical 3m abrasive paper last night and was wondering how to sort the emery and crocus in the correct order with the (usual 3m system of higher number finer and lower number being coarser)?
You can't just run your fingernail over it and make a good comparison.
example: 051 2/0 emery polishing paper
example: Buchler ltd emery 2v71 ( no other number or designation)
example: emery J 2680 78 03 01 fine
example; Norton 0 emery
Does anyone have experience on how to decipher ??
