If you PM me the name under which you found him, I will happily shoot him a message.

Checked my email... Not sure which email I signed up to the forum with, but I don't see anything in my inbox. I did clear out PM space here though, sorry about that.

Well, my mileage varied, AARONT. Had squirrel stew but once, 45 years ago. The only meat (or any food for that matter) that, the longer you chewed it, the bigger it got. About as tasty as a rubber nose. No accounting for taste, eh?

Following on from the FB details that Milland provided me with, I've done a little searching this morning, and what I've found so far is not good.
Did an address/electoral roll search for the Town he lived in, and found he shared an address with a young lady.
I then did an FB search with her name as well, and found her page with a single photograph on it from July this year - which doesn't look good.

It's a large floral display, complete with a miniature yellow Land Rover model with a card that reads " In Remembrance, Adam Edward Allchin"

I'm still doing some more searching, but detail is difficult to find.

Thanks, Peter. While not the news we wanted, at least we know why he's not been around for a while.

For the Americans, today is Thanksgiving. A good day to reach out to one's friends and family to give real (or virtual) hugs and ask how they're doing. I've some calls to make...

Another thought - what do people think of reaching out to his significant other? Would she take comfort in knowing that a large online community misses Adam, or is it better to let the time that's passed maintain its healing distance?

That is very sad not at all what we wanted :-(

Is there any contact info on the remembrance site? Perhaps we could leave a message there?

    Bill

[edit] Did the suggestion of a Memorial page get any where? Kind of fitting that it be started for an Adam .

After this much time I think I'd say let her be.

The last I remember, Don indicated he would talk with the dev team to see if it was something they could do. I've heard nothing since.

My major concern is that such a listing may be considered a "downer" for the advertisers on the site, but that's just my quick take. I hope there's a way to fit it in, as it would be nice to have a place to acknowledge the RJ's, the JR's, and now the Adama's.

So sorry to hear this. He was an interesting person, for sure. It is a reminder that our time here is limited. RIP Adam.

Chaps - as yet I haven't found an obituary or death notice or remembrance site, or publication of it, though I haven't done a major search - just the usual online stuff.
I can just re-iterate that I found this picture (posted in July this year) on the FB site of a young lady who shared a house address with Adam in the Town where he lived. And as his FB page details list him as owner of an engineering and welding business in that Town, and show a Series III Landy which I also know he owned, and the fact that he hasn't been around since late May, I'm drawing the highly probable conclusion that this was Adama.
I will try and search for any further details.
