OT: Notifications not clearing

When I opened PM today I saw I had a notification. It turned out to be an old one.

When I exited PM and entered again, the same notification was again present.

Is this a problem on my end?

PS: Read posts also appear to be not updating.

Clear cache, history, cookies, etc.

I'm seeing the the same thing. Clearing chache/history/cookies would cause much disruption on other sites I visit, so I'm not doing that.
Oddly, I see the old number of notifications when I first log in, but it corrects as soon as I go to a forum or read a message or take other action. SO I think it's a site bug.

Clearing cache won't affect active sign-ins. I clear mine every time I shut down the computer. Clearing cache could cause some difficulty.

I had one PC acting odd and one acting normally. Cleared the firefox cache on the one acting odd and now all is OK.

I ran CCleaner and that seems to have fixed my problem.
