Default Persistence of the bold font titles (false "updated since the last visit threads")

About a month ago I noticed that the number of bold font titles remains very high. They used to mark those threads that were updated after your last visit. Now they just remain to be bold even if they were not updated for quite a while.

I use the latest Firefox and IE under Win.7 64-bit on different computers. Logging off and back on and clearing cookies left by Practical Machinist don't help.

EDIT: Just discovered this thread: OT When I hit "NEW POSTS" this comes up The news made me sad, but it doesn't explain the behavior described here.

I noticed similar behaviour. I suspect that the IT wallahs have installed an update to the VB bulletin board software and some of the BBS themes and settings are slightly different to the older version. Either they'll fix it or we will get used to the new reality.

it was logging me out. Seems to work OK as long as you log in first.

bcstractor: I found this out the hard way. I would get on the website, look around a bit and if I found something interesting, would log on to answer a query. Then it would log me out. I ask Practicalman about it, but never got a straight answer. Then I noticed that if I logged on when first on the website, no problems.
