Quincy compressor help

I need some help. I've been given a Quincy 325 head that's been rebuilt. I picked up a 120 gallon tank that's never been used and the top plate has never been drilled to accept a head. I've set the head onto the plate and mounted the motor to an adjustable base. Here's where it gets out of my realm. with everything mounted and just sitting there, I'm over 2" off from the compressor flywheel to the motor pulley. I need to index these to alignment and don't know how unless I have a plate made. I shouldn't have to though with a brand new tank. Thoughts?

Why shouldn't you?

What motor frame and compressor did you spec the tank for?

You can buy adjustable motor plates that are slotted where they mount to the base. Your problem is that you bought the wrong motor adjuster.

12 gauge Unistrut, some square washers and cone nuts. 1-1/4" fenders to hold it all down.

;)

Plenty sturdy for a 5 horse motor. Maybe not for the pump.
