I actually worked there for a while. I left when things started to get really stupid. A friend of mine that still works there sent me the picture. He said "A machinist told the painters what to label it as".
All the time I was there I never saw anyone else use that machine for anything more than a catch all table. I think I used it for one job.

Obviously because whenever the boss told them to use the radial arm drill they said 'we don't have one of those'

I heard a story about a machinist I worked with who band sawed the saw guy's a radio in half when the saw guy went out to lunch.

Maybe a radio bandsaw is in the future?

Reminds of my father in laws account of summer jobs at Molsons. Fred was a great guy, old school lawyer, accomplished and love to drink and eat and smoke cigars. Many a night I'd be out with him for an extended evening of dinner and drinking when the restaurant owner would eventually leave the bottle, usually zambuca or cognac on the table while he started vacuuming. I'd be a wreck the next day but he did that 5 nights a week,,no doubt it wasn't the healthiest lifestyle, be he was fun to go out with and did he know his restaurants! (and them him lol).

Anyway, old Fred had a connection that got him working at Molsons for summer jobs while a student and said they allowed three free beers at lunch . Can you image heading back to work on a machine or driving a forklift after three quick ones? I guess there probably are a few sad sacks who still do so, but talk about a different era

For years Coors served beer in the lunch room.

My favorite these days is “biggly” instead of big league.

    Fun fact...
The broad street cholera out break had ab anomaly.
The people working at the brewery drank beer, not the contaminated water.

Free beer at AB might be a punishment, not a benefit......

Yes back in the 70 a radio arm was one that was sore form hauling a big boom box...

Now-a-days just saying "boom box" puts you on the FBI watch list.

An old buddy used to teach theology at a California college. A coed missed a class and came to his office to get the last assignment. He told her to read the Acts of the Apostles and watched her write "the Ax of the Apostles." And all these years I thought god had a terrible swift sword.

The sales people who work for Gallo winery(largest in the world) have to take home a case of wine each month. If the decline the boss comes down on them so they take it and hand it out to the neighborhoods and customers. Not to be confused with free samples they give out as well.
gallo does not allow any picture taking on their property. No birthday pictures with co-workers etc.
