Possibly made up as a drill guide for tubing, pipe, conduit?

I ask here because there are some sharp and experienced people on here. (I was here years ago, but could not log in due to the forum not recognizing my email... had to start over.
I don't have them in front of me, only the one picture. There is a magnet on one side and a ball in the other. No other information was given to me.
