I've got a machine attachment that calls for Esso Andok C grease, which was discontinued over a decade ago. Andok C was a stiff (NLGI 4), low-medium kinematic viscosity (90 cSt @ 40C) grease with channeling properties for use in high-speed, moderate-load bearings. Nye Rheolube 374C is the generally acclaimed replacement for Andok C, although one source (National Precision Bearing) suggested Mobil Polyrex EM (presumably the NLGI 3 grade) is another suitable replacement in industrial applications. Mobilgrease XHP 103 looks like another possible match in a NLGI 3 grade, with a lithium complex thickener instead of the Polyrex polyurea thickener.
If you have any experiences with, or suggestions for, an Andok C replacement, they'd be much appreciated.
