I know these taper attachments are fairly specific based on the carriage attachment ect. Hoping somebody can help identify what this one might fit. Seems to be pretty heavy duty. Unfortunately, no markings except a few numbers stamped that I couldn't find. Measures 20 1/2" in length. The bolt holes are approximately 8 1/4" apart from center to center. Also, has the 2 pin holes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The lead screw is marked 13031A
The gear teeth is marked 13030A
The handle arm is marked 13029B
Bed Clamp is marked D-13017

The lead screw looks a bit different but very close. I appreciate the reply. The search brought up some interesting results that I am looking through.

Crazy that you say that as I was just searching that exact lathe. It looked to me like they were all 4 bolt but very similar.

I am finding similar but nothing with the 2 bolt system. Found a few Southbends that have the 2 bolt with the 2 pins but they don't look the same.

It is very similar to the Harrison M300 attachment but with some differences that have been noted. Attached is the parts breakdown for the taper attachment for that machine:

M300 Taper Attachment.jpg

The most glaring difference other than the number of holes in the mount are that the main slide has the dovetail reversed between the OP's and the M300.

It sure looks like it is from something in the Harrison/Colchester family though. Possibly it could be from a far east knockoff of those machines, of which there were many.

Thanks for the post Dick. I agree they look very similar. The bed clamp is just about identical as are the internal parts. Those darn far eastern knockoffs. Thanks again for the post, gives me good direction in my search.
