Thanks to this great community for sharing all your knowledge. What a terrific resource!!!

I am hoping someone here can help identify a machine and tell me more about it.

I recently acquired a Skyline Limited lathe, model 1122B. It has a few small issues and it's filthy, but it was free, so the price was right.

I am assuming it is a clone, but I cannot find a single placard or asset tag stating it's mfg. origin, nor can I find anything online about it. I would like to know if parts from a more well-known machine can be swapped, or where to find replacement parts if it is unique. I would bet that it was built in the 1980s or 90s, and it looks very much like some of the Grizzly units on the market.

Any help would be great. Thanks!

Any lathe with a goofy name and no place of origin is likely Chinesium home shop special and not allowed here, per the Machinery Discussion Guidelines Sticky, posted at the start of this forum, which you should have read before making your first post.

A "Skyline Limited" could be Taiwan. I would expect the Chinese version to be the "Skyline Unlimited".

BUT, what I do not understand is how you did not find the very first search result on google for 'lathe 1122b'. That would have taken you to info. Google search - it ain't rocket science, it just takes a tiny bit of effort.

Taiwanese Lathes by Brazier's Lantaine, Enco, Wey II Corp, Warco, Peerless, Kin Shin, carolina with Models: 1122, 1124, 1224, 1236, 1340 & 1327 Lathes

As Glug mentioned, this thread is likely to be locked, as the moderator targets this site to more commercial/industrial and less to home shop. There are a lot of home shop sites you can go to, and the folks there will have more experience with this type of lathe.

The site Glug showed you often has manuals and data available for sale - you may wish to check it out.

Good luck.

Yep generic Chinese of some flavor ,most likely Taiwan. Parts good luck ! Although you may get lucky and find some from Grizzly etc. that will work. I have worked on/fixed similar and have gotten some stuff from the green bear.

None of the various searches I made yielded the info you posted, so thanks for that. Even now, if I search "lathe 1122b", I don't get that link. I guess your google is better than mine, Glug.
