Small/compact speed increaser/gear box source..........???

My customer is looking for a speed increaser or gear box for a product he is developing. It needs to be small, light, and, well, cheap. It will need to increase a cordless drill's 1000 rippem's to 15-20k. Does anything like this exist? I know you can get a speed increaser for a CNC mill, but this doesn't need to be as precise or robust. Something for a $100-200? Half ways durable?

Yup.

I have a Dotco speed increaser, just what you want.

Looks like they added a bearing and input shaft to a standard reduction gearing they make for air drills.

Has a reaction bar as well.

You can buy epicyclics at a reasonable price from this Japanese company. They work pretty well at the sort of torques you need.
Matex supplies a wide variety of planetary gear reducers/increasers/transmissions and electric actuators.

Bypass the cordless drill, and get a small brush-less motor from the hobby store.
