wall thickness, I forgot to check, but probably 3/16" or so. 2 7/8" OD (may be 72mm in reality) sounds odd but is standard OD for marine helm chair posts.
Suspect I will end up having to buy the entire pedestals complete with bases but if by some miracle the aforementioned tubing does exist somewhere in USA by the foot that would be interesting. Need about 7 feet.
